Hi – I’m Rachel and I look after the Youth, Children’s and Families Activities here at St Lawrence Church! I am part of the Centenary Project, which provides me with central training and support and the chance to network with other Youth, Children’s and Families Workers in the South Yorkshire area.
If you see me out and about, do say hi! You can contact me for any reason (maybe just send me your favourite joke!) on rachel.ridler@centenaryproject.org.uk
Here at St Lawrence we have lots going on for children, families and young people too. We are a church in the centre of the community here in Hatfield, so please do feel welcome to join us at any of the events or activities listed below, and click on the pictures to find out more information.

Café Church
Every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at 4pm
Café Church is an informal service that is perfect for families who want to get to know others in church and God better. We worship together in a mixture of styles, including new, traditional and children’s songs, creative prayer and simple liturgy, drama and a short talk. There is a time of response which always includes a fun craft!
The doors open at 3:45 for coffee, hot drinks and food with discussion questions and puzzles to do before we start. There is no need to book or tell us that you are coming. We look forward to meeting you and your family!
You can join our Cafe Church Group on Facebook to find out more, and to join us online when you can’t make it in person.
Little Lions For Babies and Toddlers
Thursdays
Thursdays are our Little Lions days and we’d love for you to join us from 1-2:30pm inside church. Sessions are £2 per adult, all children and babies FREE. This includes a snack and drink for the children, tea and coffee for adults. We have lots of fun playing, singing and hearing Bible stories together.
